Attorney Ashley C. Walter is the Founder and Managing Attorney of The Walter Law Group, an Atlanta-based law firm representing individuals, families, and businesses in matters involving Family Law, Business Law, and Personal Injury.
An Atlanta native, Ashley built The Walter Law Group with a commitment to providing clients with sophisticated legal representation without sacrificing the accessibility, compassion, and personal attention that are often lost in the legal process. Known for being both strategic and aggressive when the circumstances demand it, Ashley approaches every case with one objective: protect her clients, position them strategically, and pursue the strongest possible outcome.
Under Ashley’s leadership, The Walter Law Group has grown into a multifaceted legal practice serving clients throughout Georgia. Her work spans high-conflict family law matters, complex business disputes and transactions, and serious personal injury claims. Ashley also leads the firm’s personal injury division through Injury Lawyers 404, where she advocates for individuals and families facing catastrophic injuries, life-changing losses, and complex insurance claims.
Ashley’s commitment to her clients and the legal profession has earned her recognition among her peers and within the legal community. She was named a Top 40 Lawyers Under 40, recognized by Elite Lawyers, and named among the Top 100 Lawyers.
Ashley’s approach to practicing law is deeply personal. She understands that clients often come to an attorney during some of the most stressful, uncertain, or consequential moments of their lives. Her combination of legal advocacy, dedication, and unmistakable personality has also shaped a brand that extends beyond the courtroom. With the signature phrase created by her clients: “Don’t Make Me Call Ashley,” Ashley has developed a recognizable approach to law that reflects exactly who she is as an advocate: approachable to her clients, strategic in her counsel, and relentless when it is time to protect them.
Education & Legal Experience
Ashley earned her Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration from The University of Alabama and her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
Her commitment to advocacy began long before founding her firm. During law school, Ashley had the opportunity to work with the Innocence Project, assisting in the representation of individuals on death row who had been wrongfully convicted. Her legal education later took her internationally to South Africa, where she worked in human rights law and assisted individuals and communities affected by the lasting impact of apartheid.
After returning to Atlanta, Ashley continued developing her legal experience through externships with a Chief Judge in Cobb County and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
Today, Ashley draws upon her diverse legal background, business education, and years of private practice to counsel and advocate for clients facing matters that can significantly impact their families, businesses, finances, and futures.
Beyond the Law
Outside of her legal practice, Ashley is passionate about entrepreneurship, mentorship, community involvement, and creating opportunities for the next generation of professionals. She enjoys mentoring aspiring attorneys and young professionals and remains committed to giving back to the Atlanta community that helped shape her.
When she manages to step away from the office, Ashley enjoys traveling, shopping, spending time with her family and friends.

Born and raised in Smyrna, Georgia, Chrystal Nwankwo is the Legal Assistant at The Walter Law Group, where she ensures the firm is organized and running efficiently. With a background in Operations Management, she coordinates client communication and ensures Attorney Walter has the support needed to focus on advocacy and case strategy. Chrystal is deeply empathetic and client-focused, believing that every person deserves to feel heard and supported. She takes the time to understand each client’s needs, ensuring they feel valued and cared for throughout the legal process. At The Walter Law Group, Chrystal is committed to providing genuine support and efficiency, making sure every client receives the attention and care they deserve. Outside of work, Chrystal is a writer and creative at heart. She has a passion for creating inspirational journals, using writing as a tool to encourage self-reflection, growth, and motivation. Jasmine D. James serves as the Office Manager at The Walter Law Group, and is always the first voice clients hear. She is a native of Atlanta, Georgia.
Jasmine has been in the administrative support business for 10 plus years, spanning across varies industries where she has accomplished exemplified experience in developing and implementing vital business strategies, fundamental programs, and processes that drive business results.
With her natural ability to quickly assimilate into any team and immediately drive new or stagnant projects and ideas forward, she has been proven professional, timely and efficient in everything she takes on.
Besides her business savvy, let’s get it done and no-nonsense style, clients are attracted to the authenticity and integrity of her expertise. Jasmine is all about elevated success through better business practices and no matter the opportunity, she is determined to be a tremendous asset.
In her spare time, Jasmine enjoys traveling, shopping, sipping her favorite red wine or cocktail, spending time with her family and friends, researching and learning about new interest and reflecting on how truly grateful she is for her life.

In addition to being a former law enforcement officer, Aiesha received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Howard University, her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Loyola University- New Orleans, and her Juris Doctorate from New England Law- Boston.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, Shirley F. Rogers began her legal career by earning her paralegal certification before relocating to the Atlanta metro area. Shirley is a family law paralegal with more than 20 years of experience supporting attorneys throughout metro Atlanta, with deep expertise in drafting pleadings, discovery, parenting plans, and settlement agreements. She holds a Master in the Study of Law (MSL) from the University of Georgia School of Law, a credential that reflects her commitment to understanding the law and the families it affects. Shirley is also a Georgia Registered Domestic Relations Mediator, trained at UGA and Kennesaw State University.
Shirley also founded Let's Straighten It Out Conflict Resolution Services, LLC, Shirley helps families move through conflict with clarity and dignity guiding parents and partners toward practical, workable agreements including parenting plans and settlement agreements.
Shirley and her husband are the proud parents of six amazing adult children. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and going to concerts.
